Terms of Service

Last updated: June 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sloom website and the purchase of products through it. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you benefit from the mandatory protections of EU and your national consumer law, which these Terms do not limit or override.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sloom, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. To place an order, you must be at least 16 years old (or the age of legal majority in your country) and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

2. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

  • Use the site in any fraudulent or unlawful way
  • Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Reproduce or distribute any content without permission

3. Products and AI-Generated Imagery

We take care to describe our products as accurately as possible. Some images displayed on our website — including certain product visuals, lifestyle scenes, and illustrative content — may be created, enhanced, or modified using generative artificial intelligence tools. In line with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), we disclose this use so that you can make an informed purchasing decision. AI-generated or AI-enhanced imagery is provided for illustrative purposes only; minor differences in colour, texture, or rendering between the imagery and the physical product may occur and do not constitute a defect.

4. Orders and Payment

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. The contract of sale is concluded when we send you a confirmation email accepting your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, in particular in case of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or unavailability of stock. Prices are displayed in the applicable currency and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs and any additional charges are shown before you confirm your order. Payment must be received in full before your order is processed and shipped.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you (or a third party indicated by you) physically receive the goods, without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision through a clear statement (for example, by email to our support team). You must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us. The direct cost of returning the goods is borne by you, unless we agree otherwise. We will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or proof that you have sent them back.

6. Legal Warranty of Conformity

As a consumer, you benefit from the legal warranty of conformity provided under Directive (EU) 2019/771 and your national law, as well as the warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code, where applicable). These statutory warranties apply for a minimum period of two years from delivery and are provided free of charge. They are independent of any commercial guarantee we may offer.

7. Returns and Refunds

In addition to your statutory rights described above, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. You may return most items within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange, provided the items are unused and in their original condition with all packaging. Please contact our support team to initiate a return.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images (including AI-generated or AI-enhanced visuals commissioned by us), is the property of Sloom or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Without prejudice to the mandatory consumer rights described above, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without any additional warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sloom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our products. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for our obligations under the legal warranty of conformity, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you have your habitual residence (Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, “Rome I”). In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact our customer service first. If no amicable solution is found, EU consumers may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Consumers may also bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The version of the Terms applicable to your order is the one in force at the time you place it. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms for future purchases.
